The westernmost location in Greater London and sitting directly northwest of Heathrow Airport is Longford. Whilst not quite as villagey as neighbouring Harmondsworth, it has its own charms with cottages and shops dating back to the 17th Century. This historic town is under threat with Heathrow's proposed expansion plans.
