Love the vibrancy of West Ealing - the Persian mile is great and Eram Shishlik is a cut above the other Irania restaurants. Caspian does awesome Iranian sandwiches. Laguna is an excellent Indian restaurant though some people swear by Haweli. Head across into the badlands of West Ealing proper for the Iranian Sangaki (bread shop) on Leeland Road with the best time to go on a Saturday morning when the Farmers Market is on and then head to 24/7 Cudi for their awesome olives. Artisan Coffee is about the only decent thing Ealing Broadway has to offer although the Summer Festivals in Walpole Park are awesome and Linda at For Arts Sake is a proper legend. Dickens Yard i can take or leave (sorry Gladiator) although have had good experiences of The Roding Wine Co. Ealing Common has been saved from being completely average thanks to the Japanese influence and Také Sushi is excellent. The butchers across the on Starion Parade are also excellent. Heard Viona Patisserie a few doors down is also good and is also Persian Inspired just to complete the book-ending of the Persian influence from West Ealing to Ealing Common.

Ealing has a lot great kebab choices from German Doner Kebab to Ali's Berlin Doner to Laroash Kebe next to Ealing Broadway station but for me the number one is West Kebab. Hidden on the lovely but understated Pitshanger Lane, West Kebab has been an Ealing Kebab institution for nearly 30 years! Arguably, pound for pound it serves the best chicken shish and chicken doner kebab in all of Ealing and very good portions! The kebab is so authentic you feel you could be in Istanbul! Great place for a takeaway or to eat in

An area close to my heart. Dickens Yard is still a relatively new location tucked away just off Ealing Broadway High Street. Just 7 years ago, this place didnt exist, it was a car park, literally. With the backdrop of Cross Rail, Dickens Yard has come along away since its inception. The development is well kept and has a great collection of cafes and restaurants which in turn has created a great modern village like atmosphere. Brexit, Pandemic, are a number of topics that Dickens had to deal with that's had an impact on some of the businesses but it seems like its pulled through and it is on an upward spiral. One of the houses I would not recommend to live in would be Quartz house as it is directly above Brewdog so from a noise perspective it is not great. Apart from that I highly recommend it especially as an investment once the up and coming cross rail kicks in.

If East London is for your 20's then Ealing is for your 30's and beyond. Ealing may never be as fashionable as a Dalston or Shorditch, however, it is a place where you can still have the hustle and bustle of London but with a slightly slower pace of life but more importantly a quality of life. Ealing has a real community feel. Whilst there are some areas in Ealing that you can argue are better than others, overall it is a fantastic place to live. Ealing may never win an award for being 'cool' or 'edgy' but it is comfortable and offers a good quality of life. From fantastic restaurants, great schools, to World Class parks and soon Cross-Rail, Ealing is a place where you can establish roots. It has everything for everyone without being pretentious or try hard like some of its inner-city counters parts. The great transportation links (central, district, over ground links and soon cross-rail) means it is close enough to Central London to get to but also a bit further away from all the noise. You can tell how good a town is by the sheer volume of investment in it. Moreover, the recent additions of Dickens Yard and Filmworks complexes in Ealing have further enhanced the town. With a cinema soon on its way, Ealing will rival a lot of London cities as best place to live.

I enjoy walking around the streets of Ealing and seeing all the handsome big houses. Also some great green spaces like Ealing Common and Castle Bar park. The Broadway also improving, love the newly made area by the church. Feels very European!

Ealing has a lot great kebab choices from German Doner Kebab to Ali's Berlin Doner to Laroash Kebe next to Ealing Broadway station but for me the number one is West Kebab.
